Disneyland...rain or shine

Well, for four years I've enforced my policy of "no Disneyland" in Paris, but this year I've relaxed the rule and we headed off on a bright, clear morning to help celebrate Disneyland's 20th anniversary in Paris.

Highlights of the day:  Brent was happy to do the "big thrills" rides on his own, including the Aerosmith roller coaster he's talked about for years - and loved them; the character puppets/animatronics encountered in the rides spoke in French and the names of the attractions were often French (Blanche-Neige et les sept nains); until early afternoon the sun shone.

The only low point of the day was when, mid afternoon, the rain started falling and just didn't stop.  I had an umbrella with me but one parapluie does not provide enough coverage for deux!  Luckily the merchandise shops (of which there were many, many, many) sold Disneyland rain ponchos - a wonderful souvenir with "Disneyland Paris" written on the back!  Brent couldn't understand why I would want to take the poncho off before catching the train back into Paris city, but one look at the photo below and you'll know why!

Hi Sally & Brent, Une autre bonne journee. Can understand why you chose to give the Aerosmith roller coaster a miss, lucky Brent did'nt need someone to hold his hand. The Disneyland poncho is certainly not a fashion statement, but we like the 'photo. L&G
