Friends...here and at home

Today we met with the architects at the apartment, coffee with Dominique afterwards on Ile Saint-Louis, some gift shopping and then home.  Where do the hours go?  Our time to leave is drawing near and every minute is precious...

We visited our "grand homme" at BHV...remember, the gentleman who helped us with all the tedious homeware shopping?  He had told us that he had an employment contract to end Septembre, but would then be unemployed, unless something unexpected came up.  We took a small thank-you gift to him today - his help had been invaluable - and he had just found out that he had secured a long-term contract at Le Bon Marché...an up-market department store in Paris.  We were thrilled for him!  Bonne chance, notre ami!

On our travels back to the apartment we met Valentin, the Griffin Bruxellois and, in a matching coat, Valentine the chihuahua...and then an elegant, sandy doorman...

...and then we received photos of our our furry babies back at Catnapping in Melbourne.  Angel made the the Facebook page as one of the two shy-est residents, and Romeo looked like he had settled in for the long haul...

Hi Sally & Brent, Great 'photos, such different expressions on les chiens - like the wistful look on the doorman. What a poser Romeo is, not like his shy neighbour. L&G
