... dejeuner a Angelina's tea rooms ...

Lunch at Angelina's (where the clientele reminded me of the ladies who lunch at the tea room in Block Arcade). Angelina's is located under the arcades along the rue de Rivoli, directly opposite the Tuileries. The rooms have ornate, soaring ceilings and mirrored, frescoed walls, and the waiters are a French joy.

While we were there the sun came out, illuminating the greenery of the Tuileries. Would have loved to head over to the gardens, but were awaiting our Mont Blanc and Tartelette Eva for dessert ... sugar overload but worth the pain! A take-home pack of macaroons in glorious colours and flavoured Framboise, Vanille, Pistache, Chocolate Blanc ... mmmm ...

Continued our wandering and Brent shopped with the hip kids at Colette and Kitsune, and with the bourgeoisie riche at Longchamps, and then to the apartment, still powered by sugar courtesy of Angelina's.
