Biennale Arte at Arsenale

Arsenale is one of two venues for the Biennale Arte exhibition (the other is Giardini). This venue is former docks and shipyards, now used by the navy and a marine technology centre. An incredible venue for art installations - a mixture of concrete, brick, iron and wood; soaring ceilings; external areas bordering canals; garden areas with bunker-like structures - some empty, some housing video installations. Absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to get to Giardini!
