Sunday evening we dined with Rita and Gerard, the owners of the apartment we rent, and our project manager Dominique, who is a friend of Rita and Gerard. Rita made a wonderful French feast -
Entrée - foie gras with toast triangles and pomegranate
Plat principal - duck confit with sautéed potatoes and leafy salad
Assortment of cheeses
Dessert - Tarte tatin with individual ice-cream cups - mangue, citron, framboise
- and beaucoup de champagne!
Needless to say we have fasted today (well, apart from croissant, coffee and baguette - bien sur!)
Rita, Gerard and Dominique are fun, lively company...all great travellers with many stories to tell. Rita and Gerard were our inspiration for undertaking our own apartment project and, with Dominique, have been instrumental in us achieving our Parisien dream. We feel blessed to have made such wonderful friends in our home away from home.

Hi Sally & Brent, What a lovely Sunday, and to finish the day with such a feast. The 'photo of your friends is great, good to be able to put a face to the names we hear about. L&G
We just remembered your blog, and, on reading your posts so far, have been entranced by your evocative tales of Paris, further whetting our appetitites for the visit ahead. Meanwhile, we must content ourselves with la Côte d'Azur. Do keep up your enjoyment, Craig & Olivia
