Number 10 rue Saint-Louis en l'Ile

Maybe you've heard more than enough about our little apartment here in Paris...but the renovation continues!  We returned today to have a peek what the builders have been up to, to stand in the courtyard and try to absorb all the images for future moments when we're not here.

We both feel sad...it's hard to leave our project unfinished.  We feel certain the apartment will be the home we pictured it to be...and we've worked well together...quite a test in a foreign country!  It's exciting to wonder what the next year will bring...

In the apartment next to our courtyard doorway there's a chihuahua who seems to consider himself the guard dog for number 10.  I've been trying to snap a photo of him on each visit...and today I did.  He was growling menacingly...but hadn't noticed that the muslin curtain was draped over his head...priceless!  One day he will know we are friends.

Hi Sally & Brent, The apartment seems to be taking shape, and it is a good thing to have a guard dog at No. 10. L&G

Great to see it is progressing, what an achievement. Congratulations to both of you. Love the dog! Savour and enjoy each moment.
