L'entrée de notre appartement
Every day we leave and return to the apartment through this gorgeous entry. You can see the lift we take to the 4th floor...the space is just deep enough for two people (or one and a suitcase), and just wide enough so that if I have my bag over my shoulder I have to stand side-on! Some days Brent and I crab-walk in and out of the lift...elegant? Non!!

Oh that architecture - we have not come very far when I look at the shoddy apartments being built in Melbourne! The carved and sculpted cornices and plaster decoration in the apartment photographed makes for such a visual feast. I love the atmosphere that it creates - warm, enticing - just like home should be.
