What to carry in your shopping bag

Quiet day today, with a wander over the river to meet with the manager of our apartment.  It was good to see him again, get his opinion and input into things that have been on our mind, and just re-set that personal connection that's so important when your daily lives are so far from each other.

While we were having coffee this morning, there was a young girl across the street who seemed to be waiting for an Uber.  Her travelling companion was initially on a lead beside her, but in getting ready for the trip, she opened the bag and tucked him inside.  There was a gorgeous moment when she stood with the bag over her shoulder, both hands on the phone, and her furry friend's head resting on her forearm.  La petite mignonne!
