First stop today...MieMie boulangerie...we both had roulés (scrolls), mine with cannelle and Monsieur's with chocolate and nuts, and coffee, perched on a stool at the window. A gorgeous, tiny bakery and we ended up taking home bread, baguette and a choux treat for tonight. The serveuse was so friendly and helpful...a wonderful way to start the day.
It's 27 degrees, clear skies today (time to wear in the sandals!) and the forecast for next week is hot, hot, hot. There's a fresh breeze, so still good weather for walking. We wandered across to Ile Saint-Louis to do a couple of things at the apartment, then a visit to CrocoDisc...a favourite record shop of Brent's from previous visits. Like many record shops, CrocoDisc offers little space if you're not actually a piece of vinyl or perusing the vinyl! I parked myself in the shady garden across the street and watched the passing Parisien parade as I waited for Brent. Here he comes...bag in hand!
Stopped for lunch, then a wander back via the bouqiniste stalls along the Seine, a view of Notre Dame under reconstruction and the umbrellas of Paris Plage (the summer beach along the Seine), through the St Paul area of the Marais...stopping for a Libanaise ice-cream along the way. An afternoon siesta, a quick shop for dinner supplies and home for Saturday night. Holiday mode!

The photos are just lovely.

Just a bag? Not a loaded up pallet with Monsieur de Disc behind the wheel of a forklift?
Would that bag have a green cartoon crocodile on it? Paul had used one of these as a camping book bag until it fell apart.
27 degrees, sandals and holiday mode sounds good to me!
