From the Bastille to the Tuileries and back

Wandered through the back rues de la Bastille, visiting some favourite haunts from previous years - Merci concept store and cafe (where the lovely waitress took our photo), Auguste boutique and the Bastille marche (ooooh, the Libanaise pizza!) - and a new find, Born Bad records (came home with special Joy Division vinyl in a bag!).
Onto the metro and to the Tuileries, the trees all dressed in the colours of autumn - tres belle!
Home "a pieds" via the 1st arrondissment, past 59 rue de Rivoli, home to young artists of Paris. This building, originally an artists' squat after being vacated by a bank, has been refurbished by the city of Paris and the artists now occupy the building at no cost. Must put number 59 on the "visit before we leave" list!

Hi Sally & Brent, Great 'photos, and good on the city of Paris for refurbishing the vacated bank building. I should think it would be well worth a visit before you leave. L&G
