Today Brent did some shopping and we viewed a street exhibition of photos of the liberation of Paris...August marks 70 years since Paris was freed from German occupation during the second world war and there are many photo exhibitions and celebrations happening. We have some visits on our agenda for next week.
Tonight we are off to l'Olympia to see Justin Timberlake...then, very early tomorrow morning, we catch the train to Colmar in north-east France for an overnight stay. The blog will be quiet until we return!
I leave you with a photograph of our local market space on Boulevard Raspail - awnings closed today - and the oh so French stairwell and landing to our apartment. In the last photo you can see the lift on the left...seriously, an upright cupboard!...and the entrance to our neighbour's apartment. The building we are in is quite tiny and very loved...there are two apartments on each floor and only four floors.
À bientôt...
