A quiet Sunday kicked off with toasted baguette and coffee and a wander through the neighbourhood streets.
Just around the corner from our apartment is a cinema called La Pagode. Originally built in 1896, the Japanese-styled pagoda was a gift from François-Émile Morin, the owner of Le Bon Marché, to his wife. The cinema shows arthouse films in version originale (original language), has two small salles, each seating about 200 people, and a gorgeous Japanese garden. We were lucky enough to see the film today in the ornate Japanese salle, which is quite beautiful and the deep-red seating is like soft, cozy armchairs. We saw Sils Maria with Juliette Binoche, Kristen Stewart and Chloe Grace Moretz - beautifully shot in Sils Maria in Switzerland.
Afterwards we metro'd to the 14th arrondissement to visit a record store (no luck today). We wandered through Parc Montsouris and, the sun shining, there was hardly a free bench seat or patch of grass. The Parc is opposite the Cité International Universitaire de Paris, which would account for all the young joggers, and there were dogs and puppies of all persuasion out for some fun. Managed to snap a quick pic of a Border pour ma famille...

Hi Sally & Brent, Really great 'photos, what a wonderful cinema - quite a treat. I think there is enough fascination with the borders, surely there is a beautiful beagle trotting somewhere in Paris, just waiting to be snapped by you - here's hoping. Love, L&G
