Gouts...lovin' it

Opposite the appartement is a wonderful Italien traiteur.  A tiny shop, with scrumptious take-home meals - lasagne, polpettes (meatballs), spaghetti - including house-made tiramisu and the most amazing pâtisseries.  It's also a perfect spot for take-away lunch...take a piece of rosemary-foccaccia, add artichoke spread, speck (prosciutto) and a cheese of your choice...mmmm.  I don't think I need to say that Gouts has become a favourite of ours for those nights in, or last-minute lunch!

For me, one of the highlights of this trip was breakfast at Le Rousseau, café and croissant à la terrasse, and the proprietor of Gouts, setting up for the day (or did he just pop out for a smoke?!), waved and called out across the street with smiling, "Bonjour!"  One of those moments that pulls you into life in Paris.  Not to mention that he is one très gorgeous man...
