There's a new café next door ... Fougère Café ... and it's soooo Melbourne! We dropped in for breakfast this morning ... beautifully presented granola, fresh fruit, acai bowls with coconut, great coffee, de-tox juices. A tiny, welcoming space. I owe you a photo ... I so enjoyed my granola, yoghurt, figs, blueberries and honey - oh, and my double espresso - that I forgot to snap a pic of where we were!
While we're on the topic of food ... we've revisited Goûts, the Italien traiteur we discovered during our previous stay in rue du Cherche-Midi. His lunchtime sandwiches - think roast vegetables and artichoke cream in a strip of fluffy focaccia - and his house made, ready-to-take-home polpettes, spaghetti and more, just reinforce my argument that there is no reason to cook while on holidays! M. Goûts remembered us from the previous visit (which just might be an indication of how many times we sampled his food) - it was a joy to be remembered anyway!
From rue du Cherche-Midi to you ...

Hi Sally & Brent,
What a great way to start the day, with such a tasty breakfast.
Love the 'photos......Love, Lils
Funny. No reason at all to cook unless of course you're interested in buying up all the beautiful market ready ingredients.
