The day begins with brioche perdue

Lazy day wandering streets we know well in the 5th and 6th arrondissements.

First stop ... Poilâne Comptoir ... a wonderful, tiny space adjacent to the Poilâne boulangerie, where the menu utilises the breads and pastries of the bakery.  Brent had the petit déjeuner - tartine avec confiture, croissant, OJ - and I had a delicious brioche perdue - thick, soft, fluffy piece of brioche loaf, hot and drizzled with honey.  Coffee ... well, bien sur!  What better way to start the day!

A visit to Crocodisc, where Monsieur picked up some vinyl for his own crates, and a visit to Hervé Domar where Madame may have picked up a scrumptious parfum "Tourmaline".  Just love the process of choosing a new scent ... makes a girl feel really special!

An end of day trip to La Grande Épicerie for waters and juices to stock up the home fridge.  My interest was captured by the wall of Vins & Champagnes ... an inviting display of half - yes, only half - bottles of wine and champagne ... often hard to find, but perfect for duos like us where one sometimes has a tipple, and the other occasionally doesn't!

Santé mes amis!

Hi Sally & Brent,
Sounds like a good day all round. A new parfum - what a treat.
Love, Lils
