Arrival in Malta

We had a calm, quiet Mediterranean crossing from Sicily to Malta...the weather was perfect and minimal passengers, so we had a choice of seats.  Angelo (from Pozzallo) had told us that the ferry was made in Tasmania and had been running the Sicily-Malta route since February 2019.

Although we had to be at the ferry terminal by 7.30am, the boat didn't leave until 9.30ish.  Not a long trip, but by the time we retrieved our luggage and grabbed a cab from Valletta to Birgu (where we're staying) it was about 12.30.  Brent snapped some pics from the outdoor deck as we arrived into the port at Valletta.

We had some time to fill in before we could check into the apartment, so we made our way to a square close to the apartment, got comfy in a family-run cafe for lunch and did some research on what we might do for the next week.

The apartment is in a picturesque, narrow street...both the street and the apartment are quite beautiful.  I think I'm going to get snap-happy here!
