A new week begins

This morning we received another lovely photo from our housesitters...I don't think Romeo is missing us at all! Which is exactly why we chose to have housesitters...feeling very happy about that decision.

Decided on a direction for breakfast and ended up at Ma Bourgogne, a bit of an institution in the arcades surrounding Place des Vosges. The café is nothing to rave about, but the view!...Place des Vosges is perhaps my favourite spot in all of Paris. Today the tree loppers were tidying things up in the square, so we will revisit when things are a bit quieter.

Spent some time wandering the Marais, a stroll through the gardens at the Archives Nationales and winding our way through the tiny streets and passages back towards home. Sheesh it's hot today!

Noticed the cat mosaic street art and thought what a good cross stitch that would make! I looked it up and enjoyed reading about Invader, a famous French street artist like Banksy.
Thought of you when I started the day with a freshly baked croissant on the way to Warburton, past the French Fromagerie ... but there the similarities stopped as I sat in the forest in the hail by a drop toilet block - le puer!
