Visited Hotel Carnavalet - perhaps our favourite musee - for the new exhibition Le peuple de Paris au XIX siecle. This is a collection of lithographs, paintings, photographs, excerpts from personal journals and postcards giving the visitor an insight into the life of Parisiens following the French Revolution. On my way around I tried to complete the questionnaire booklet that is given to visiting French children - it was a great test for my (childlike!) French and helped me more fully understand the explanations with the exhibits. Loved the exhibition; followed by some quiet time in the gorgeous garden - something we look forward to every year.

Hi Sally & Brent, What an interesting exhibition - the excerpts from personal journals and postcards, perfect. The 'photos are great, and the garden looks very pretty. L&G
