Last night we went to see Róisín Murphy at a small club, Le Trabendo at Parc de la Villette (metro stop Porte de Pantin). A beer and wine from the terrasse and we're ready for the show. The club has a crowded floor space, but there is room to move upstairs and that's where we are - with a good vantage spot above the stage. Róisín is kind of avant-garde, electronic dance, experimental pop - quite a mix - and we love this kind of stuff. With every song there is a change of outfit - maybe a mask, jacket and necklace, maybe a hat and coat, maybe a costume-like dress and sunglasses - very entertaining! We had a great night.
Today was wet again in the morning, so we waited it out and then headed off to Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen (metro Porte de Clignancourt). We love the market - in particular the stall owners, who always provide a colourful moment or two during each visit. This time round we encountered an extremely temperamental record stall owner, but that's a whole 'nother story! Anyway, we had a great afternoon. Metro'd home - stopping for happy hour aperitifs at Les Mousquetaires next door. Santé!

The market looks great - I love those wooden crates. Would you be able to put your personals inside and bring home as hand luggage? And all those keys ... they would make a wonderful artwork, or cross stitch.
Hi Sally & Brent, Just what everyone needs, a board of keys to ...?... It certainly looks an interesting market, good fun.....L&G
